2016 is shaping up to be a HUGE year for Florida Theme Parks! With Universal Orlando announcing Reign of Kong and Epcot’s Frozen attraction and now Mako.
Mako is SeaWorld’s newest coaster and will probably become the best coaster in Florida when it opens!
How tall is Mako? 33ft. taller than Rip Ride Rockit at Universal, which uses to be the tallest coaster in Orlando, until now! How fast is Mako? 7 miles and hour faster than The Incredible Hulk at IOA! And you have to ask, how long is Mako? 583ft. longer than Kraken, which used to be the longest coaster in Orlando!
Mako will debut summer 2016 transforming the area between Nautilus Theater and the parks Shark Encounter exhibit. This ride is so huge that it can’t even fit inside of the park itself! Instead the ride will travel out behind the park and along the world famous International Drive!
This hyper coaster will feature multiple, tall hills and high speeds, providing near weightlessness. Mako will be built by Bolliger & Mabillard of Switzerland, and feature trains that hold four rows across so you can ride with your whole group!
- Height: 200ft.
- Max Speed: 73 mph
- Length: 4,760 ft.
- Nine airtime hills… NINE!
- 54 Inch height requirement
Features 1,864 ft. of track over water!
Around the entrance to the ride will be themed to The Realm – seven acres of dining options, gift shops and the shark realm. The pathway will look like a giant shipwreck, with shark theming throughout!
Mako will join the parks already stellar lineup of coasters like:
Kraken, Manta, Journey To Atlantis and Shamu Express!
With Mako, SeaWorld Orlando offers some of the best roller coasters in the World!
