The Magic Kingdom will soon have a 5th roller coaster! Tron Lightcycle Power Run roller coaster will be opening at the park by 2021! Just in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary!
The new roller coaster will be located next to the iconic Space Mountain in the Tomorrowland area of the park and based on the movie Tron. The ride will launch riders in and out of buildings with amazing special effects and lighting!
Last year Shanghai Disneyland opened the first version of this coaster to rave reviews!
Here are the stats from Shanghai’s Tron coaster:
- Length: 3,169 ft.
- Speed: 59 mph
- Inversions: 0
You have to watch this on-ride video of Tron, if the US version is anything like this, then we are in for a treat!
Fun Fact: Unlike any other roller coaster in Florida, riders will sit in rows of two on their own bike!
